I switched my system over to "vesa" from "openchrome" and I am not getting the regular input freezes. Also the system performance seems to be just fine with the vesa driver.
It was crashing 100% of the time on the "openchrome" driver whenever I tried to access gmail. It locks up the inputs as soon as you enter your username and password and click to login.
