As far as I can tell, I wouldn't be happy if this 'patch' was considered the fix, I thought i've read reports that with the nobackfill patch, while the delay is gone, a huge memory leak issue replaces it. Or have I understood the previous posts incorrectly. Please correct me if so. But it is my understanding that this has to be fixed at AMD, which is why some of us have been voting for the issue.
It would be very nice to clear this up, as to whether it is an xorg problem, or a proprietary AMD driver problem! Anyone got any definite answers on that one?
