Yung Shen, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. As per http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=5225042&swLangOid=8&swEnvOid=4158 an update to your computer's buggy and outdated BIOS is available (3.87). If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BIOSUpdate does it change anything?
If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date Once the BIOS is updated, and the information above is provided, then please mark this report Status New. Thank you for your understanding. ** Tags added: bios-outdated-3.87 ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1441986 Title: NVIDIA Corporation GK106GL [Quadro K4000] [10de:11fa] Desktop launcher garbled after resuming from suspend To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1441986/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
