I found a fix for network and sound card. There have been several kernel updates in the past week or two, but all things combined gave nothing to initial problem.
After resume from suspend, videos often show just black, with sound playing (using xv output). gl output gives picture but it flickers all the time between video picture and black screen. This is the same for mplayer, totem and vlc. The only video output that usually work when all do not is x11 without xv. Additionally, when this starts to happen, Google Chrome browser window is flickering like mad, and becomes unusable. The same happens with Steam client. The only solution so far is to restart X (either logout/login or restart computer). But this defeats the purpose of going to sleep... ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1417726 Title: After resumnig from sleep, playing videos doesn't work To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1417726/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
