Well I'm calling my computer a liar... (I guess I'll now have to keep an eye on it, lest it decides, like HAL did, to take me out) Yes, I had noticed that the log claims 24, but it is clear when I view a picture with a gradient that the depth is less. It is also visible in the shading of the Unity GUI elements. If I slide the picture across to the other monitor (same model, attached to an Intel card), it displays correctly. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1338068 Title: Wrong color depth on Radeon HD 6770 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1338068/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
