Hello Christopher; unfortunately, due to very low performance of Unity, I had to get rid of Ubuntu Trusty and install Ubuntu GNOME 14.04 LTS on my laptop. It performs much better than the other, so I think I'll stick with it from now on.
I'm not aware if both editions share the same keyboard driver, but I can surely tell you that so far using Ubuntu GNOME I haven't experienced any issue with the keyboard again. Does that help? I hope so my friend. Thanks! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1398008 Title: "Caps.
