Same problem with certified [PowerEdge R320](http://www.ubuntu.com/certification/hardware/201207-11432/) and Ubuntu 14.04.
Personally, I am not necessarily interested in getting 3D acceleration supported for such an old card (and for a server!). *However*, I'd like basic graphic functionality to work decently; right now I got that by installing xubuntu-desktop, but it'd be generally cool if compiz/gnome would disable cool effects automatically, based on available hardware. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1316035 Title: matrox g200eR2 is unclaimed in 14.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/1316035/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
