I tested openchrome driver SVN793 + patch from comment #52. The external monitor was connected. I added DefaultDepth 8 to the xorg.conf like this:
Section "Screen" Identifier "Default Screen" Monitor "Configured Monitor" Device "Configured Video Device" DefaultDepth 8 EndSection The result is that the screen size is correctly recognised and set up to 1024x768 both on panel and on the external display. The mouse cursor is only visible on panel, not on the external display. ** Attachment added: "Xorg.0.log-SVN793-patch52-external_monitor_connected" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/32375822/Xorg.0.log-SVN793-patch52-external_monitor_connected -- [K8M800] virtual size does not correctly set on panel https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/386740 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-openchrome in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
