I know it says to comment here only if this duplicate status is wrong - but I'm attached to the original bug and I don't see this level of technical input there. Worryingly, I don't see progress on this bug for over a year. The Sensitivity Slider in the Touchpad GUI does not work. Any attempt to reduce the sensitivity prompts the system to move the slider to the far right (some minutes later - it's like watching the cursor get turbo-boost).
