Since I updated BIOS to last version this problem has happened to me 2
times (I also had the same problem with previous version).

This is my current BIOS version

$ sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
2205
10/09/2014

The odd thing is that Xorg.0.log.old look different in each case. I
don't know if they are 2 different problems or if they are related, but
from user perspective they look like the same.

The problem starts when my mouse pointer starts deleting text (the
background keep looking good). It is as if the text under the cursor
became transparent. After a few seconds mouse an keyboard stop working.
I'm still able to login using SSH.

Thanks
