Hi tom, Not sure, I followed the description above, from a fresh buntu-gnome 14.04 install and it still works perfectly.
Do have the radon_bl0 brightness control folder? Check by typing in a terminal: ls /sys/class/backlight/radeon_bl0 If so what happens if you type into the terminal: sudo bash -c "echo 10 > /sys/class/backlight/radeon_bl0/brightness" Did you update your grub after setting the boot parameters? Type in a terminal: sudo update-grub -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to fglrx-installer in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1318314 Title: brightness adjustment does not work on Thinkpad E145 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer/+bug/1318314/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
