Trying the version 1:0.2.91.5 from https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source /ubuntu-drivers-common/1:0.2.91.5/+build/6043389 works in you download nvidia-commons and ubuntu-drivers-common and you install them with dpkg -i.
@Ingo Bürk can you try version 1:0.2.91.5 using: sudo dpkg -i ubuntu-drivers-common_0.2.91.5_amd64.deb nvidia-common_0.2.91.5_amd64.deb and report if it works for you? It works for me. P.S. You cannot install 1:0.2.91.5 with sudo apt-get install ubuntu- drivers-common=1:0.2.91.5 because it's not published anymore.
