I have been using 14.04LTS 64bit since launch, and was not initially effected by this. However, this starting happening to me within the past few days. When using the trackpad it starts to behave like I have clicked and dragged and if there is text on the screen, it starts to select it. The left mouse button then refuses to work on the track pad, tap to click fails, but the right mouse button behaves normally.
When going into the Mouse settings and switching from a 'Left mouse' to a 'Right mouse', the left mouse button works again BUT acts like it is the 'Right' mouse button [as per the setting I changed]. During this time the Right mouse button on the mouse fails. This started to occur after a very recent update to the OS - unlikely to be a hardware issue. I have a Dell D630. Are there any pertinent logs that would be best for me to attach? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1316873 Title: Left mouse button stops working To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1316873/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
