You have been subscribed to a public bug: Binary package hint: kdm
I am using Kubuntu 9.04 (64-bit) with the final KDE 4.3.0 packages from the Kubuntu backports on my Dell Inspiron 15n (that shipped with Ubuntu preinstalled). For some reason, when I log out I get a black screen. ALT+CTRL+F1 and ALT+CTRL+Backspace does nothing. I have to hold down the power button to get out of this black screen. As long as I log in directly to KDE, and then choose "shut down" when done, I never have any issues. If I log out to go back to KDM and choose a different user, I cannot do that since I see a black screen instead. I did follow the instructions below to enable the correct Intel drivers for Jaunty: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1130582 Those instructions fix all the issues that Jaunty has with Intel cards, so I suspect that something there may be causing this. Please let me know what I may need to provide. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium Status: Incomplete -- KDM Log Out = Blank Screen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/415482 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
