Public bug reported: I have been using my lenovo x1 carbon with ubuntu since ubuntu 13.04. I am currently running 13.10. I am using standard linux kernel packages for 13.10. The problem I am having is the same as bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video- intel/+bug/1177358. Occasionaly I get a lot of flickering black lines on the screen. It also happens if I have an external monitor connected to the computer.
I think this has something to do with the hd4000 drivers, because the previous bug was filed from a MacBook air running 13.04.
