Bit more investigation shows that the disappearing titlebars are in fact caused by a window manager problem. Going to appearance->visual effects and changing the effect level restores the title bars.
Titlebars disappear after every restart, but the graphics corruption only appears sometimes. note: it did *not* appear on the restart that I provided the logs for. While testing suspend resume, I had a complete lockup which has been filed by apport as bug 430676 -- [i965GM] video corruption when changing windows after suspend-resume https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/429307 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
