My laptop has 32 GB RAM. It froze and when I decided to switch it off and held the power button for 1 sec, it magically unforze. htop was opened at the time and showed that chrome consumed all of 32 GB of memory. When I killed it, the memory came down to 400 Mb. I think this is a Chrome bug. I am using Firefox for now and will see whether it happens again or not.
