The fact that I found a work around involving changing which USB port I plugged a mouse into doesn't actually fix the underlying software bug. I suppose it's possible that in the 2.5 years since I reported the bug, it was fixed elsewhere and thus closing the bug is appropriate. It's not clear why you think the bug report is invalid though.
The bug is clearly related to the usb mouse being connected/disconnected when the hub (monitor) is powered on/off. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/816580 Title: Mouse freezes after screensaver lock To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/816580/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
