Running Feisty (herd 4?) 20070215 in safe graphics mode on IBM NetVista
8303-SB2 with Hanns.G HC1764 screen, CD live. Display works fine on
boot and normal operation, 1280x1024.
On shutdown or restart screen goes immediately blank. Feisty hasn't
crashed, because after waiting a while, pressing enter results in
restart.
Update #1: still occurs on ship level of Feisty Fawn 7.04.
Update #2: On Xubuntu Gutsy Gibbon Tribe 5 installed, same system,
normal graphics mode, screen also goes blank during shutdown. After a
while it does shut down. Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon Tribe 5 does not have that
problem. Ubuntu Tribe 4 did. There's a Kubuntu Tribe 5 on that system
so I'll try it too next time I boot it up.
