I am NOT sure if this is the same as this bug but in my case, the cursor has disappeared after the monitor was off/screensaver - once I moved the mouse to see the desktop, there was no cursor but I was able to click, I just can NOT see the cursor and it is hard to use a ghost cursor and keep clicking blindly :)
