This is an upstream problem, see http://mesa3d.sourceforge.net/systems.html Openchrome dri driver in on the list of removed drivers from mesa distribution. Same problems applies to all Linux Distributions that have more recent mesa libs. I ran into the same problem, as 50% if my thin clients here utilize openchrome - too bad. It blocks me from updating.
