Has anybody noticed if that occurs right after using Nautilus for file operations and then closing (or trying to close) the Nautilus window? In one occasion I noticed Nautilus using about 2GB of memory right before my screen freezing. Switching to a virtual console to kill Xorg is not always possible, sometimes I have to hard reboot.
