The only thing I personally can suggest is making sure you're using the latest driver (319.23). Since you now have this fixed and Optimus support is a well-known pain in the rear, I'd suggest marking this report 'Invalid' (unless you want to make it a report about pixel corruption, though I don't know what Ubuntu could do about that since it's closed source).
