Thanks for the link. I've tried today's xf86-video-intel git with the commit which is marked as a solution via link you provided. I can confirm that I was unable to reproduce this issue, but I cannot say for sure as with recent changes this bug on my machine apperars much more rarely than before. It can reappear later, but I hope it won't.
