I had filed this bug against glibc to drive the patch in: http://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=15097
Note that the next major release from the NVIDIA driver includes a wrapper for most of the external calls, which should suppress the x86-specific relocation problem that I described in my original message to the list. Note that my comment above didn't mean to imply the loader patch was unnecessary, both steps are needed to achieve optimal results. ** Bug watch added: Sourceware.org Bugzilla #15097 http://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=15097 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/967149 Title: Solution to Nvidia + cairo-gl memory problem proposed by Nvidia To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/eglibc/+bug/967149/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
