Public bug reported: On plugging in HDMI devices, the screen is scrambled. Pretty simple.
Boot and log in. Plug in HDMI device Watch the screen scramble This occurs with the Radeon driver. I managed to recover the system the first time by unplugging the device, however, on the second attempt, the screen scrambled and stuck that way and I had to reboot to recover the desktop.
