Yes. it got to the point that I'm afraid to run virtualbox or watch youtube or play mp4 or music. It's ridiculous.
I understand that bug exists and will always exist. Even on windows or mac. But this bug is too critical to be realease as LTS. This is like a beta version. Now what I want to know is: - What percentage of ubuntu users and other linux users actually experiencing this bug. - I'm on 32bit ubuntu, is the 64 bit version any better? - This doesn' seem happen only on geforce or ati. It also happens on IntelHD graphics. Is this correct. If so then it probably has nothing to do with graphic driver. - Is it true certain kernel version doesn't have this bug? I read some comment like downgrading to 3.0 version actually fix it? What would be the problem with downgrading to 3.0 kernel? - Is anyone actually acknowledging this bug and currently fixing it? - Does it also happen on Mint? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/993187 Title: ubuntu 12.04 completely freezes frequently.
