Today was a good day ! NO INTEL GPU HUNG in dmesg. I started using the new Lubuntu iso from here ... http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/lubuntu/daily-live/current/ I used my computer most of the day today with no GPU crashes. Old intel 82845G chipset. I tried the new Ubuntu install also, install did not work on my machine.
