Looks like possible workaround, at least I've no artifacts now on my Lenovo T430S : 1. Add ppa https://launchpad.net/~oibaf/+archive/graphics-drivers/ 2. apt-get upgrade 3. Removing /etc/X11/xorg.conf if exists :)
