@pcworld No my friend... I tried installing the linux source and the headers even with a fresh install and still it won't work. Had a problem with Ubuntu 12.10 and Nvidia drivers (where the system went into a very low graphic mode after installing the drivers. The windows were stretched). For the Nvidia problem, installing linux headers fixed it. But not for the ATI issue :(
