Public bug reported:

When I tried to wake up my ASUS U46E laptop running Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS,
X crashed and showed blank screen with the active mouse pointer after
suspend. Only way to recover is to do alt+ctrl+f1 and restart the
lightdm by

rakitha$ sudo service lightdm restart

I have a clean installed Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS and this is the first time I
encounter it after the clean install.
