Public bug reported:

This only happens with SNA (Option "AccelMethod" "sna"). Whenever
screen is turned off by idling for the set idle time, it does not resume
on eg. keyboard input. I need to additionally switch for example to tty1
(ctrl-alt-f1) and back to X (alt-f7) to get display back. This happens
every time on my sandy bridge machine, and I remember seeing this months
ago as well so it's not a new problem.

This is not bug #966744 since nothing problematic otherwise seems to be
going on. I did not yet find an upstream bug reporting this.
