Just a small heads-up: Activating "Force full screen redraw (buffer swap) on repaint" caused a significant increase in CPU load with regular usage on my system. That's why I had to go back to deactivating the automatic screen switch entirely.
In the course of doing so I discovered another bug in that the automatic screen lock does not work as long as the display isn't turned off.
