@Neil C Smith, I marked this as an nvidia driver bug because a few users have reported that the problem went away when using noveau, and I didn't see any other cards or drivers mentioned on this bug report. But if the Catalyst driver also has this problem then maybe it is a bigger issue. Do you still experience the bug when using the open source radeon driver?
