Status in “xorg” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Upgraded to Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit Release today, a clean install on a new partition. Graphics card is ATI Radeon HD 3670 system is Dell Studio XPS 16. Anyway, it worked initially until after the kernel received it's second update automatically. OS would not start with monitor (HP 2310m) plugged into HDMI. If plugging in after the fact, OS would crash (could make it as far as logging in.) Tried open source and fglrx - no success. Reinstalled 12.04. Still same problem. Now reverting back to 11.10.
