My monitor (AL1715) is blank between grub selection and until the login screen
is displayed. Menu.lst is set to ro quiet splash.
Also, my Power Management settings correctly turn off the monitor after
one hour. The bug is that the monitor must be turned of and on again,
sometimes repeatedly until it's restored.
This is just an annoyance for me as I know what to do, but new users
would not. It isn't an issue in Jaunty.
