Thanks for helping out, Bryce. I have a very similar issue with nvidia- graphics on a T410 (NVS 3100M chipset).
As far as I can say, the problems with the external displayport were introduced here: Start-Date: 2012-03-04 18:58:02 Commandline: apt-get install nvidia-current Install: nvidia-current:amd64 (280.13-0ubuntu6), nvidia-settings:amd64 (280.13-0ubuntu2, automatic) I'm pretty sure things worked well before. I installed the 295.33 vanilla from Nvidia.com as I couldn't find them within standard repositories. Though, 295.33 doesn't seem to solve the problems, my external display connected via displayport is still not detected in nvidia-settings. Interestingly something is happening when I hit 'Detect' within nvidia-settings as my Dell U2711 changes the status indicator color from Standby/yellow to blue for a short time... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/877682 Title: [Latitude E6510 / Thinkpad W510/T510] External Video inoperative with nVidia current To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers/+bug/877682/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
