After a recent update, I have observed possibly similar behavior (but
I'm not sure what "fails" means from the bug description). On a ThinkPad
x200t, the pen works fine after login, but touch is in relative mode, no
matter what the setting in the Wacom configuration. Even after setting
absolute mode using xsetwacom, a sleep or logout/login will reset the
touch device to relative.
