suspend my samsung series 9 with i915 graphics, core i5...
then resume.
expected result: backlight turns on
current result: laptop resumes, and does stuff, but you can't see
anything (except very faintly in the right light). you can type in your
password blind to get past the the screen lock, and then the laptop will
respond to brightness up/down keys, which wakes the backlight out of its
stupor.
