A solution to that will be to make xvfb-run actually spawn an Xorg
server with the dummy driver instead of actually using xvfb; that works
on the buildds, and has the advantage of actually using the same server
as we use.

Some things *can't* be tested against xvfb, because the code they're
testing only exists in xfree86.  Multitouch stuff is an obvious example.

That's obviously too late for Precise, but should be possible for
Queztacoatl.
