Yep, same issue here. It seems to happen only when playing with open office but i had the same kind of issue with intrepid on my previous computer with completely different hardware and the way to reproduce the crash was just to use gdesklet or system monitor. So, this is not a major issue for me as X don't crash often but for some other users it's a real nightmare.
I have to say that this bug is the most annoying and frustrating i've ever had with linux as the message in the log just tells nothing about the root cause and we have had this issue with every ubunbu release. This is the only reason why in my mind linux is a bit less stable than other OS, X souldn't crash like that without giving useful info about the root cause of the crash, this is just frustrating. Hope something can be done to enhance the log with useful infos when X crash. -- xorg crashes (nvidia 180.51) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/382640 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers-180 in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
