Looks like this would need fixed in the xserver patch 190_cache- xkbcomp_output_for_fast_start_up.patch
It does check for write/open permissions on whatever the configured output directory is, but if it finds it doesn't have them it defaults to /tmp. :-P Perhaps OutputDirectory should be modified to return an error code, and callers updated to check the code and exit more gracefully if failed. ** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Bryce Harrington (bryce) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/836876 Title: not checked permissions in /tmp To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/836876/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
