It seems that this bug just recently occurred to me after a kernel update. I am running Natty (64 bits) with the nvidia drivers from the repositories (280.13). Everything worked fine until the yesterday update to kernel 2.6.38-11, then all QT applications produced a segmentation fault and sent me back to gdm. Removing "xfs" solved this issue.
