In the meantime I found a much better way to avoid the screen corruptions: Just use…
Option "EXAPixmaps" "off" …in the 'Device'-section of your xorg.conf. Compared to Option "RenderAccel" "off" the performance is just amazing. @ Glen Colquhoun: Are you still affected by this bug? If so, could you test this? I'd really like to know if this works for you too, since your screen corruptions look quite differently & I'm beginning to doubt if we're really affected by the same bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-ati in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/771370 Title: [RV250] display is corrupted To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xserver-xorg-driver-ati/+bug/771370/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
