Public bug reported: I have a laptop with a Azerty keyboard. Now I want to change the default behavior of the Caps Lock to make it a Shift Lock.
This can be change in the Regional Settings under Keyboard. There I changed it to make 'Caps lock act as Shift with lock'. But even after this, the 'Shift Lock' doesn't act like it should. With Shift-Lock enabled it still gives '&É"'( instead of 1234 like it should. The Caps-Lock is correctly seen: keycode 66 = (keysym 0xffe5, Caps_Lock), state = 0x0 keycode 66 = (keysym 0xffe5, Caps_Lock), state = 0x2 keycode 66 = (keysym 0xffe5, Caps_Lock), state = 0x2 keycode 66 = (keysym 0xffe5, Caps_Lock), state = 0x2 ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/816588 Title: Changing Caps Lock to Shift Lock does not work To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/816588/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
