This workaround works for me (VirtualBox): try to replace "sleep 2" by "killall gnome-settings-daemon" to avoid waiting. This way:
/etc/xdg/autostart/gnome-settings-daemon.desktop Exec=bash -c "killall gnome-settings-daemon ; /usr/lib/gnome-settings-daemon/gnome-settings-daemon" The system should stop the previous daemon and ensure it has been stopped before launching the new one (instead of killing it). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers-180 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/649809 Title: the session settings manager can try starting before the login screen one exits To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gdm/+bug/649809/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
