** Description changed: Currently I use Kubuntu 10.10, installed a few versions ago and upgraded then on a "normal" pc monitor. Then I connected a Samsung TV via VGA Port and work with full hd. Now I tryed to boot different versions of linux (Suse 11.4, Ubuntu, Kubuntu (11.04), KDE Live etc etc.) and not one of them is able to boot in a resulution witch is supportetd from that samsung monitor. Shortly after booting the installer display showes only "not supported mode" so I am not able continue to finish installation. again: everything works fine in running kubuntu 10.10 but I dont want to change monitor every time I want to boot from cd. + --- + Architecture: amd64 + DistUpgraded: Fresh install + DistroCodename: natty + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 + DistroVariant: ubuntu + LiveMediaBuild: Kubuntu 11.04 "Natty Narwhal" - Release amd64 (20110427) + Package: xorg 1:7.6+4ubuntu3 + PackageArchitecture: amd64 + ProcEnviron: + LANGUAGE= + PATH=(custom, no user) + LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 + SHELL=/bin/bash + ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-8.42-generic 2.6.38.2 + Tags: natty ubuntu patch + Uname: Linux 2.6.38-8-generic x86_64 + UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) + UserGroups: + + version.compiz: compiz N/A + version.ia32-libs: ia32-libs N/A + version.libdrm2: libdrm2 2.4.23-1ubuntu6 + version.libgl1-mesa-dri: libgl1-mesa-dri 7.10.2-0ubuntu2 + version.libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental: libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental N/A + version.libgl1-mesa-glx: libgl1-mesa-glx 7.10.2-0ubuntu2 + version.xserver-xorg: xserver-xorg 1:7.6+4ubuntu3 + version.xserver-xorg-video-ati: xserver-xorg-video-ati 1:6.14.0-0ubuntu4 + version.xserver-xorg-video-intel: xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.14.0-4ubuntu7 + version.xserver-xorg-video-nouveau: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau 1:0.0.16+git20110107+b795ca6e-0ubuntu7 ** Attachment added: "Dependencies.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/789788/+attachment/2166215/+files/Dependencies.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/789788 Title: Ubuntu 11.04 installer is not bootable on samsung LE40A557P2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/789788/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
