Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
After connecting and configuring my lenovo thinkvision screen via the display port, the machine does not fully shut down, it exits the DE, drops to the plymouth shoutdown screen and flickers between the external and internal screens. (the machine is a HP probook 5320m laptop). I have left it this way for ~15-20 mins with out successfully shutting down. I have it configured to only display on the external screen when inside the DE. jussi@squirrel:~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 11.04 Release: 11.04 jussi@squirrel:~$ apt-cache policy xserver-xorg-video-intel xserver-xorg-video-intel: Installed: 2:2.14.0-4ubuntu7.1 Candidate: 2:2.14.0-4ubuntu7.1 Version table: *** 2:2.14.0-4ubuntu7.1 0 500 http://fi.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty-updates/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 2:2.14.0-4ubuntu7 0 500 http://fi.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty/main amd64 Packages jussi@squirrel:~$ ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.14.0-4ubuntu7.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-8.42-generic 2.6.38.2 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-8-generic x86_64 Architecture: amd64 CompizPlugins: No value set for `/apps/compiz-1/general/screen0/options/active_plugins' CompositorRunning: kwin CurrentDmesg: [ 110.064314] EXT4-fs (sda4): re-mounted.
