** Description changed: Hi I've noticed a fairly long startup time. Looking at Xorg.0.log I notice a lot of entries about EDID quirk. I think the edid data from the inbuilt monitor is in a different format than what the intel video driver is expecting. First bug report and quite new to linux so forgive me if something is missing or just written the wrong way. Thanks Stefano ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 Package: xorg 1:7.5+6ubuntu3 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.35-24.42-generic-pae 2.6.35.8 Uname: Linux 2.6.35-24-generic-pae i686 Architecture: i386 DRM.card0.DisplayPort.1: status: disconnected enabled: disabled dpms: On modes: edid-base64: DRM.card0.DisplayPort.2: status: disconnected enabled: disabled dpms: On modes: edid-base64: DRM.card0.DisplayPort.3: status: disconnected enabled: disabled dpms: On modes: edid-base64: DRM.card0.HDMI_Type_A.1: status: disconnected enabled: disabled dpms: On modes: edid-base64: DRM.card0.HDMI_Type_A.2: status: disconnected enabled: disabled dpms: On modes: edid-base64: DRM.card0.LVDS.1: status: connected enabled: enabled dpms: On modes: 1280x800 edid-base64: AP///////wAyDAAAAAAAAAASAQOQIRV4CreFmVlTjSclUFQAAAABAQEBAQEBAQEBAQEBAQEBEhsAiFAgEDAwGDYAS88QAAAbDhIAiFAgEDAwGDYAS88QAAAbAAAA/gBYMzk3SIAxNTRXWDUKAAAAAAAmND5EZImk/wEBCiAgABg= DRM.card0.VGA.1: status: disconnected enabled: disabled dpms: On modes: edid-base64: Date: Sat Jan 15 12:20:18 2011 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" - Release i386 (20101007) MachineType: Dell Inc.
