paercebal #16 : I believe you put the finger at the worst thing with this bug. Of course I understand all the banter around the lack of dialogue between Xorg and Nvidia developers and I know Ubuntu isn't here at fault. But for Christ's sake, there isn't any mention of this bug in Natty's release notes while it can break the display (or I didn't see it and apologise). I consider myself happy of always checking the uninstalled packages before any upgrade, that saved me (again).
